Pita… made fresh daily!

One of the advantages of living in the Middle East/Mediterranean is the food.  I think this is God’s food.  Seriously.  Take for instance, PITA.  In my neighborhood, this stuff is made fresh daily (except on Friday).  You can pick up a bag of 10 pieces for 4 shekels.  This stuff is like manna from heaven… nothing else like it.  It literally melts in your mouth when it is hot and fresh out of the ovens.  AND… because I love healthy food in particular, there are absolutely NO additivies or preservatives.  That means it actually begins to grow mold in three days.  Now that’s fresh!

And the big question?  How does the hole get in the pita?  Naturally.
